Lead Therapist

Samaria Janae Witherspoon, also known as Ms. Sam, is originally from South Carolina, but currently based in Atlanta, Georgia. Sam is a LPC in the state of Georgia and South Carolina. LPC is a fancy word for Licensed Professional Counselor. She provides couples, individual, group and family counseling to those that are struggling with trauma, depression, anger, grief, substance abuse, and behavioral and emotional issues. Sam is also a professor of psychology in Atlanta, Georgia, a public speaker as well as a self-published author. She received both her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Education in School Psychology and Counseling Services from Howard University in Washington, DC. She is a young professional that commits herself to the society of going the extra mile to support clients, couples, families, and communities to achieve their highest potential that is full, rewarding, productive and valued. Sam chose this profession and lifestyle because she believes that every individual, no matter their ethnic background, socioeconomic status and/or academic history, has the potential to live a positive and meaningful life.

Alexandria Chargois

Intern

Alex currently serves as the intern for H2H. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Spelman College with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She is passionate about mental health in minority communities and has worked on several research projects studying topics such as Black Maternal Mental Health, Violence and Anxiety among African American College Students, and Children’s Reasoning of Social Group Differences. Alex also spent time working with the Grady Nia Project, helping women who have been victims of domestic violence and suicidal ideation. In her free time, Alex enjoys playing with her puppy, Blaze and traveling the world.
