What is H2H’s Future Leader’s Scholarship?

The Hidden to Healing Future Leader’s Scholarship is designed to support students pursuing careers in mental health and human services fields. This initiative reflects our commitment to breaking stigma, promoting healing, and investing in the next generation of changemakers.

Award Details

2 recipients selected

Each recipient will receive:

  • $500 scholarship award
  • Hidden to Healing College Essentials Basket, including items such as:

         Toiletries (toilet tissue, deodorant, etc.)
         
Laundry essentials (laundry pods)
         Journals and self-care items
         Additional college support items

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Or a related mental health/human services field.

Application Requirements

Applicants must submit:

     1. Completed essay (600-750 words) answering the following prompt: 


“What does mental health stigma mean to you, how do you plan to contribute to breaking that stigma, and how would receiving this scholarship support your academic and career goals?”


  1. Proof of enrollment or acceptance (for the 2026–2027 academic year)
  2. One letter of recommendation (teacher, professor, advisor, or mentor)
  3. All of the above documents sent to [email protected]

Important Dates

Selection Criteria

  • Applicants must be a current or former resident of Georgia or South Carolina. Students attending
    college outside of these states are still eligible if their permanent/home address is in GA or SC.
  • Demonstrated passion for the mental health field
  • Thoughtfulness and authenticity in essay
  • Leadership potential and community involvement
  • Clear articulation of how this scholarship will support their educational journey and future goals
  • Alignment with the Hidden to Healing mission
